The Spudz concept was born back in 2015 as a result of our passion for food, for business, and for our community. We saw an opportunity for a locally sourced, creative snack-food company; one to be founded on great tasting, superior quality snacks with an original edge.
Then we engaged our soon-to-be-fan-base with our passion for live events, tailgates and parties. Our Street Team can throw an epic one, and we love connecting with the community and promoting Spudz in a high energy environment – I guess our fans do too!
An Irish immigrant and 17 year resident of Louisville, John has always had a passion for two things: business and horses. The latter led him to Bluegrass Country, the horse capital of the world. “I immediately felt at home here,” says John about Kentucky.
“There’s so much pride – and rivalry – to the community here. So when I was ready to transition out of the thoroughbred world, I figured there would be no more exciting place to launch a new brand!” John says the best part of leading a new company like this is “Looking back at the sheer scope of the risk and looking forward to building a brand that Louisville and Kentucky can be proud of.”
Colleen is Spudz’ multi-tasking secret weapon! Colleen excels in a variety of roles; including running the office, crunching the numbers, looking out for our sales crew, and even throwing in on marketing strategy! This proud Chicago native has a passion for Kentucky, where she graduated from UK.
Simone organizes and executes the many promotions and events Spudz undertakes throughout the year. A charismatic ambassador for the brand, Simone brings flair and passion to the marketing department and street team.
